We will have two hour exams each worth 10% of your grade, a final exam worth
20%, occasional quizzes worth 10%, and homework worth 50%. The homework is
the bulk of the grade, but you must also do well on the exams - your grade
for the course will be at most one letter grade higher than the grade you
achieve on the exams, and a low enough F on the exams will get you an F in
the course. The final exam is scheduled for the first day of exam week,
Monday, December 16, at 1:30 PM; you can verify this in the campus timetable.
The course may demand one to two hours of your time per day outside of class for
reading the textbook and doing homework in the computer lab.
