Try this on your computer today. This will teach you how to obtain the lessons for Mathematica from anywhere on campus. Restart the computer (under the Special menu). Then get the lessons from across the network as follows. Press the colorful apple icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen, move down to "Chooser" on the menu that appears, and select it by releasing the mouse button. A new window will appear on the screen. Click on the AppleShare icon, and then click on the word "Mathematics" in the list of zones. (You may have to scroll through the list.) Then choose "Calculus_Files" from the list of file servers that appears, and hit the return key. A new window appears. Click in the circle next to the word "Guest" and hit the return key. A new window appears. Select "CM_Lessons" from it and hit the return key. A new icon appears on the right hand side of the screen, called "CM_Lessons". Double click on it to open it up. Open the folder called "The Feel of Mathematica". Double click on one of the lesson files found there, such as "03.Plots", to enter Mathematica with that lesson loaded first. Subsequent lessons can be entered with "Open" from the "File" menu. Try to finish up "The Feel of Mathematica" today outside of class.
Everyone should try to send me an email message this week, and to read the messages I've been sending you.
