Marie kept up a long correspondence with her cousin Johanna Kinne in Iowa from 1922 to the 1950's. We have received the letters she saved, thanks to cousin Wolfgang Windolph! Transcription and translation is underway, by Dan Grayson.
The oldest one was addressed to her in 1922 at Bahn N. 38, Raguhn Anhalt, Germany. In 1948 her address was Golpaerstrasse 16, Zschornewitz, Kreis Bitterfeld, Germany; that place is a suburb of Gräfenhainichen. Another address she used was at Dimitroffstrasse 42, Graefenhainichen, D.D.R. 445.
What happened to Marie's letters to Johanna? Johanna must have saved them.
Marie also corresponded with Emilie Kinne, as late as 1974. I must again find those letters that Emilie kept and scan them in.
