Benjamin Willard

From the Worldconnect db=burnhamj

He was a famous clock-maker, having factories at Grafton and Roxbury, with salesrooms at Lexington and Roxbury. Advertised in the Boston Evening Post December 16, 1771, clocks cheaper than the imported ones and equally good; hoped that these and other kinds of mechanical performances may be encouraged, as large sums are sent abroad that might be retained to the emolument of this country. In 1773 he advertised as clock and watch maker, offering musical clocks, playing different tunes, a new tune every day in the week and a psalm on Sunday; a new invention for making barrels to perform the music.

Frederic Sweetman

Andrew Wallace believes he had a first wife, Frances Latimer, which is borne out by Elinor being listed as George Brower Sr.'s step-daughter and Fredrich being married 26 years compared to Henrietta's 22 years.  Also, note Eleanor's (Elinor) middle name of Francis/Frances.

1920 Census
Frederic Sweetman is living with his second wife Henrietta's parents George and Minnie at 433 New York Ave, Jersey City, Hudson, NJ. Born New York; father born England(?), mother born Germany. Salaried foreman at a map company. Child Eleanor is not living with them.  Is it possible Frances Lattimer and Fredrich Sweetman divorced?  Need to look for Frances and Eleanor living alone in 1920.

Henrietta Brower

Andrew Wallace notes from his 8th grade project say her name was Frances Latimer, b. Hackensack, NJ 1881, died Hackensack, 1908. Perhaps Frances was the first wife, died in childbirth, and then Henrietta a second wife, mother of Alva?  Eleanor and Alva did not look much alike.  Indeed, there is evidence in the 1930 census:
