He was brilliant. He once was a hair dresser and a court reporter. Nick visited Tom once in the back end of someone else's antique store, where he was creating and painting lighting fixtures. He eventually (about 1970) built it into a multi-million dollar nation-wide business named Tom Thumb Lighting; he sold mainly wholesale to decorators. He was a Midas! He eventually lived in North Hollywood. He died about 1999.
The marriage was a secret from the family.
Lynne was the President of The Rogers Group, a public relations company with about 200 employees.
